SCOTTSDALE, AZ – December 19, 2006 –
Public Radio Partners is happy to announce our newest partnership. As of December 4th, we began representing corporate underwriting sales for Cincinnati Public Radio, which consists of all classical format 90.9 WGUC, and 91.7 WVXU primarily featuring NPR News & Information.
Under the assumption of PRP, the underwriting staff will continue to work from the station.
The community licensee recently acquired WVXU in 2005. Some of PRP's initial goals include careful branding to the business community of the two stations together as one entity. In our tradition of accelerating performance, we also aim to grow their revenue over 30% in fiscal year 2007 which wraps up in June 2007.
About Cincinnati Public Radio
WGUC, Cincinnati's Classical Public Radio, was founded in 1960 by a group of citizens who saw the need for a radio station devoted to cultural and public affairs programming in the region. Today, the station remains committed to this heritage. WGUC broadcasts the finest in classical music programming and is the leading provider of arts information for Greater Cincinnati.
Through world-class programming, WVXU helps create a more informed public, with a deeper understanding and appreciation of the world's events, ideas, and cultures. Using the national and international news resources of National Public Radio, Public Radio International, American Public Media, the BBC and its own team of award-winning radio journalists WVXU keeps listeners in touch with events around Cincinnati and around the world.
