PRESS RELEASE
SCOTTSDALE, AZ– April 3, 2006 –
Rocky Mountain PBS, (RMPBS) operators of KRMA CH 6 in Denver, KRMJ CH 18 in Grand Junction, and KTSC CH 8 in Pueblo, Colorado, has selected Public Radio Partners, (operating as Public Broadcasting Partners / PBP) as their exclusive agent for all local corporate underwriting, as of April 3, 2006.
PBP welcomes the partnership with RMPBS, a station with such strong statewide heritage and a progressive focus on the future.
Aside from current consultation for WYCC-TV (Chicago), this is PBP’s second engagement in public television sales. Undoubtedly, they will draw upon their experiences representing KAET-TV (Phoenix), to implement systems conducive to sustainable revenue growth. PBP has already started laying the groundwork to better track and forecast sales & inventory performance and streamline the process from underwriting order to production to air.
The underwriting team under the direction of Jim Taszarek (PBP) and local sales manager, Pam Marsh will centralize operations out of RMPBS offices in downtown Denver, with additional corporate support representatives working out of Colorado Springs.
Celebrating its 50th anniversary, Rocky Mountain PBS is Colorado’s oldest and only statewide PBS Network. The network reaches one-million viewers weekly in Colorado and the surrounding states. Rocky Mountain PBS is renowned for its award-winning public affairs, documentary and performance productions, and it is a digital technology leader, serving the Denver, Pueblo/Colorado Springs, Grand Junction and Durango areas with a high-quality 24-hour digital signal.
