ST.PAUL, MN – May 3, 2007 –
Twin Cities Public Television (tpt), operators of analog channels
tpt 2 and tpt 17 plus seven digital channels serving Minnesota and Western Wisconsin, has selected Public Radio Partners, (operating as Public Broadcasting Partners / PBP) as their exclusive agent for all local corporate underwriting, as of April 2, 2007.
PBP is looking forward to leveraging the corporate support possibilities for tpt, a station that is very well received in their market, with high viewer ratings relative to market size.
One initiative underway is the development of a new break format that changes underwriting credits from 7-second billboards to 15-second marketing messages. What’s special about the new format is the visual continuity present throughout the pod’s sequence, which aside from looking very professional, emphasizes to the viewer that these are supporters. The underwriter will enjoy the benefits of greater image versatility to express their message, within a visual context that reinforces their support of the tpt brand.
The underwriting team, under the direction of Jim Taszarek, Jr. will continue to work from tpt’s offices in St. Paul.
